NEPSE Gains Substantial 44.30 Points to Close at 1986.99 Levels; Market Cap. Stood at 29.74 Kharba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,986.99 points, as the index gained substantial 44.30 points or 2.28% compared to the previous day's closing.
The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,942.98 and made an intraday low at 1,941.86 points. However, the market reached an intraday high of 1,986.99, which is also today's closing.
During today's trading, a total of 278 scrips were exchanged through 37,799 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 4,742,511 representing a turnover of Rs. 1.51 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 29.74 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.49 Kharba.
Salt Trading Corporation (STC) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 6.25 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 5,700.
Similarly, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) gained the highest 9.98%, followed by Menchhiyam Hydropower Limited (MCHL) with 9.97%.
Meanwhile, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme - 2 (SIGS2) lost the highest 7.43% today.
In terms of sector indices, all indices closed green with Hotel and Tourism Index gaining the most among the indices with a positive gain of 3.45 percent.
