NEPSE Gains Minimal 3.33 Points With Dull Market Participation and Indecisive Sector Movement

The NEPSE index closed at 2,779.98 today after gaining 3.33 points from yesterday's closing. This is a minimal gain of 0.12% on the index. The index had lost 38.45 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,778.89 and made the intraday high at 2,803.75. However, it then changed course and went as low as 2,776.88, and ultimately closed at 2,779.98.

224 scrips traded hands via 50,965 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 6,675,231 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.343 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.313 Arba.

National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLICL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 20.02 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,131 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) were traded the most.

Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) and Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd (SAPDBL) lost the highest 4.14%, hence closing at Rs. 345.10.

Six sectors closed red and seven others closed green. "Hotels And Tourism Index" lost the highest 0.69% and "Non-Life Insurance" gained the highest 1.05%.
