NEPSE Gains 9.25 Points to Close at 2086.84 Levels on a Volatile Trading Day; Market Cap Stands at Rs. 30.67 Kharba

The Nepal Stock Index (NEPSE) on Wednesday has managed to gain 9.25 points which is equivalent to a rise of 0.44 percent compared to the closing of the previous day. In today's trading session, the stock exchange came to a halt at 2086.84 levels.

The session started with the index opening at 2,077.58 and made its intraday high at 2,086.84. Throughout the trading session, it demonstrated a volatile momentum reaching an intraday low of 2,062.00, before settling at its closing value of 2086.84.

During today's trading, a total of 269 scrips were exchanged through 35,835 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 9,361,786, representing a turnover of Rs. 1.81 Arba.

The market capitalization stood at the end of Wednesday's trading stood at Rs. 30.67 Kharba contrary to the market cap. of Rs. Rs. 30.53 Kharba at Tuesday's closing, indicating a gain of Rs. 14 Arba in a single day.

Among the stocks SHIVAM CEMENTS LIMITED (SHIVM) recorded the highest turnover, with an impressive amount of Rs. 11.19 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 596.

Similarly, among the listed scrips RBB Mutual Fund 1 (RMF1) gained the most with 4.14 percent change to close at Rs. 7.80, followed by Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) 2.03 percent with an LTP of Rs. 568. 

On the other hand, Prabhu Smart Fund (PRSF) lost all it could as the mutual fund scheme hit the lower circuit with a 10.00 percent negative change. 

Among the sub-indices, three sub-indices including hydropower, microfinance and trading, closed red while the remaining indices closed green. The Finance Index gained the most with 1.69 percent, while, the microfinance index lost the most with 0.28 percent.
