NEPSE gains 7.43 points; Nepal Sewa Laghubitta hits the positive circuit

The local bourse at Nepal Stock Exchange registered a rise of 7.43 points to end the day. The market that had started at 1,216.93 points closed at 1,224.36 points gaining 0.61%.

The market’s turnover stood at Rs 22.18 crore through the exchange of 9,24,665 unit shares. Scrips of 163 listed companies were traded through 4,129 transactions.

Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) has been the top stock based on turnover as well as units traded. 73,626 units of PRVU worth Rs 1.80 crore were traded during the day.

Nepal Seva Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (NSEWA) was the top gainer for the day as it recorded gain of 70 points hitting the positive circuit. However, the shareholders of Api Power Company Limited (API) lost the most. The shares lost 10 points in its value and its LTP stood at Rs 201.

Both the Sensitive Index and Float Index increased by 1.58 points and 0.63 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Hotels, Hydropower and Microfinance sector ended in the red zone. Life Insurance sector increased by 23.67 points while Hotels sector lost 12.82 points.
