NEPSE Gains 6% and Closes Early For The Day, All Sectors Witness Massive Push Higher

The NEPSE index closed at 2,418.84 today after gaining 137.18 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 6.01% on the index. The index had lost 79.57 points yesterday.

Trading was halted in NEPSE for 40 minutes after the index gained 5% in the first two hours of the trading session. Trading was resumed at 1: 18 pm and the index went on to gain 6% by 1: 26 pm. Thus, the market session has been halted for the day.

220 scrips traded hands via 29,064 transactions. The Float index is at 165.90 after gaining 5.98% while the Sensitive index gained 5.19% and is now at 460.30.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.08 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,460 per share. The shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.

A total of 29 companies have technically gained 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited Promoter Share (NICLBSLP) lost the most, and that too, a minimal 1.99%. There are only three losers today.

All sectors indices have gained today. "Development Bank" gained the most 9.2%.

Technical Analysis Highlights

The index opened at 2,283.67 and did not trade lower. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,418.84.

A total of 4,085,956 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.84 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 3.995 Arba.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 36.35. The reading was at 19.43 yesterday. The RSI has broken out from below the "30" level. The zone below the 30 reading indicates oversold conditions. Meanwhile, both the MACD line and the signal line are negative, i.e. below zero, with the MACD reading at -94.06. This reading was at -94.75 yesterday.
