NEPSE Gains 56.73 Points and Closes at 2,415.55; All Sector Indices Close Green

The NEPSE index closed at 2,415.55 today after gaining 56.73 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 2.41% on the index. The index had lost 17.93 points yesterday.

226 scrips traded hands via 34,217 transactions. The Float index is at 166.00 after gaining 2.33% while the Sensitive index gained 2.51% and is now at 462.52.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 14.58 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 6,400 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) traded the most.

Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL) gained the most 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) lost the most 8.89% and closed at Rs. 925.

All sectors indices gained today. The sector "Others" gained the most 3.88%.

Technical Analysis Highlight

The index opened at 2,360.33 and did not trade lower. The index then closed at the intraday high at 2,415.55.

A total of 4,974,253 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.383 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 2.464 Arba.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 39.20. The reading was at 32.79 yesterday. The RSI has broken up from below the "30" level. The zone below the 30 reading indicates oversold conditions. The RSI reading breaking above 50 would indicate intermediate-term upwards momentum. Meanwhile, both the MACD line and the signal line are negative, i.e. below zero, with the MACD reading at -90.13. This reading was at -94.86 yesterday.
