NEPSE Gains 20.64 Points and Closes at 2,947.38, IPO Rookie MBJC Gains 10%

The NEPSE index closed at 2,947.38 today after gaining 20.64 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 0.71% on the index. The index had gained 69 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,944.92 and made the intraday low at 2,908.20. While it went as high as 2,955.13, it ultimately closed at 2,947.38.

224 scrips traded hands via 96,408 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 14,474,713 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 7.901 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 9.676 Arba.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 44.54 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 571.30 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Limited (MBJC) gained the highest 10% and closed at Rs. 458.80. Meanwhile, 10 % NMB DEBENTURE 2085 (NMBD2085) lost the highest 3.95%, hence closing at Rs. 989.30.

Five sector indices closed red while eight others closed green. "Development Bank" lost the highest 0.44%. "Hydropower" gained the highest 1.61%.
