NEPSE falls to 1139.96 points after losing 0.49% today; six scrips post turnover above Rs.1 Crore

The market today lost 0.49% or 5.61 points. NEPSE index closed at 1139.96 points after crossing 1147 points in the opening minutes. The turnover amount stood at Rs.37.98 Crore achieved through trade of 1,082,815 units of shares traded through 5,032 transactions trading scrips of 161 listed companies in the process.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) posted the highest turnover at Rs.6.97 Crore with LTP standing at Rs.1839 per share. NMB Bank Limited (NMB) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 169,096 units of shares. The LTP of the bank stood at Rs.380 per share.

HDL was today’s top gainer as well after gaining 7.54% or 129 points. Joshi Hydropower (JOSHI) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.08% or 3 points and closed at Rs.56 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.73 points and closed at 251.57 points while Float Index lost 0.51 points and closed at 84.56 points.

Only Manufacturing sector was able to post growth of 0.37% while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
