NEPSE falls down to a 10-day low; turnover increases significantly

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has decreased by 7.96 points today (0.54%) to close trading at 1457.88, the lowest it has been in the past 10 trading days. Today, the turnover was Rs 43.23 crores—Rs 13.32 crores more than yesterday. Today, Nepse Index opened at 1465.84 points, and was stable till the end of first trading hour. However, it then decreased and ultimately ended up at 1457.88 points. 7.93 lakh units of Nabil Balance Fund-1 (NBF1) and 5.18 lakh units of Prabhu Bank Promoter Share (PRVUPO) were traded the most today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 43.23 crores, out of which more than Rs. 10.42 crores (approx. 24.10% of total turnover) was contributed solely by transactions of Prabhu Bank Promoter Share (PRVUPO). Today, 23.25 lakh unit shares were traded through 2,996 transactions. Mero Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (MERO) and Api Power Company Limited (API) were the highest gainers. Khani Khola Hydropower Company (KKHC) and Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank (MLBBL) lost the most today.
