NEPSE Falls by 3.90 Points; SHPC Tops Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 7.65 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 3.90 points (0.14%) to settle at 2,654.75. This follows a 2.80-point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,659.28, touching an intraday high at 2,670.25, while the lowest point was 2,649.60. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.65 Arba, with 16,400,775 shares traded across 306 companies through 70,077 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.22 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.91 Kharba.
Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. (SHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 74.96 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 648.
Pure Energy Limited (PURE) led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.
Meanwhile, Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited (GMLI) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.62%.
Among sectors, the Microfinance Index registered the highest increase, gaining 1.10%, while the Hotel and Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 1.58%.
