NEPSE Extends Losing Streak to Six Sessions; All Sector Close in the Red

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit fall today, falling by 16.54 points (0.62%) to settle at 2,632.96. This comes after a fall of 16.54 points in the yesterday trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2643.84 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,649.11 and a low of 2,623.93 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 2.67 Arba, with 7,699,227 shares traded across 351 companies through 44,942 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.09 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.18 Kharba.

Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 88.36 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 239.30.

Three Companies Led the gainer's list with 15.00% positive circuits.

Meanwhile, Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 5.83%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,454.00.

Among sectors, Non Life Insurance registered the highest loss by 1.39%, while Banking SubIndex recorded least loss, falling by 0.56%.
