NEPSE ends up losing as the market closes for Dashain; Prabhu Bank and Mega Bank lead in terms of turnover

The market that was in the green zone for most of the day, ended to lose 0.80 points or 0.06% and closed at 1241.63 points as the market closes for Dashain. The turnover that had barely touched 10 Crore mark at 1:00 PM closed at Rs.33.58 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,464,894 units of shares through 4,408 transactions trading scrips of 152 companies.

Prabhu Bank (PRVU) posted the highest turnover today at Rs.2.54 Crore with its LTP at Rs.241 per share followed by Mega Bank (MEGA) with turnover of Rs.2.27 Crore. However, in terms of shares traded, MEGA stood ahead with trade of 109,640 units of shares followed by PRVU with trade of 104,528 units of shares. The LTP of MEGA stands at Rs.207 per share.

Today’s top gainer was NIBL Samriddhi Fund 1 (NIBSF1) after it gained 7.26% or 1 point. National Hydropower Company (NHPC) was today’s top loser after it lost 3.65% or 3 points.

Sensitive Index lost 0.45 points and closed at 264.10 while Float Index lost 0.1 point and closed at 90.36 points.

Today’s losing sub-indices were Banking, Development Banks, Hydropower, Others and Microfinance; rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone. The top gaining sub-index was Manufacturing and Products sector.
