NEPSE ends the week losing 6.69 points; Market closes at 1,180.63 points owing to transactions worth Rs 19.69 crore

The NEPSE index closed losing 6.69 points or 0.56% to end the week’s trade. The market had opened at 1,187.32, experienced 2 points climb within the first hour and then went downhill again closing at 1,180.63 points.

The total turnover for the day stood at Rs 19.69 crore with 8.69 lakh shares traded via 4,370 transactions.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) had the highest turnover of the day worth Rs 2.19 crore with LTP standing at Rs 967. Similarly, Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited (SHPC) had the highest number of shares traded counting to 29,657 scrips.

The top gainer for the day is Aarambha Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (AMFI) climbing by 27 points closing at Rs 724. On the other hand the top loser is Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) losing 25 points closing at Rs 250.

The sub-indices for all sectors went downhill except Trading sector. The Trading sector gained 2.11 points, whereas the Life Insurance sector is the loser plunging by 102.83 points.
