NEPSE ends losing 8.05 points on the beginning of new fiscal year; Life Insurance & Non Life Insurance listed as separate sub-indices

NEPSE index has decreased by 8.05 points as the market closed at 1,204.31 points. The market which had started at 1,212.36 points showed turbulence throughout the day on the first trading day of the FY 2075/76.
The total turnover for the day was only of Rs 20.60 crore which was achieved through the exchange of 5, 14,161 unit shares. The shares of 152 listed companies were exchanged during the trading period through 2,660 transactions.
Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as the shares worth more than Rs 5.81 crore were exchanged during the trading period. It was also ahead in terms of units of shares traded as 64,608 units were traded during the day.
The shareholders of Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited (RRHP) earned the most today as the price increased by 9 points and its LTP stood at Rs 157. However, the shareholders of Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited (BNT) lost the most during the day’s trade as the price decreased by 337 points and the LTP stood at Rs 5535.
Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 1.58 points and 0.66 points respectively.
Out of the 11 sub-indices, only Trading, Finance and Others ended in the green zone out of which Others ended up gaining the highest 712.84 points. Non Life Insurance sector lost 87.67 points which was followed by Life Insurance losing 74.11 points.
