NEPSE ends gaining 12.27 points; Index reaches 1,212.36 to end the fiscal year on a high note

NEPSE index has increased by 12.27 points as the market reached by 12.27 points to close at 1,212.36 points. The market which had started at 1,200.09 points increased continuously last trading day of the FY 2074/75.

The total turnover for the day was only of Rs 31.85 crore which was achieved through the exchange of 11,76,592 unit shares. The shares of 159 listed companies were exchanged during the trading period through 3,388 transactions.

Prime Life Insurance Company Limited Promoter Share (PLICPO) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as the shares worth more than Rs 5.20 crore were exchanged during the trading period. It was also ahead in terms of units of shares traded as 1,78,355 units were traded during the day.

The shareholders of United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL) earned the most today as the price increased by 12 points and its LTP stood at Rs 172. However, the shareholders of  Ngadi Group Power Limited (NGPL) lost the most during the day’s trade as the price decreased by 9 points and the LTP stood at Rs 163.

Both the sensitive index and float index increased by 2.39 points and 1.01 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Others ended in the red zone losing 2.67 points. Insurance sector gained 147.02 points which was followed by Hydropower gaining 50.23 points.
