NEPSE down by 14.64 points to close at 1,119.83 level; EBL hits circuit, down by Rs 307

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went down by 14.64 points or 1.29% to close at 1119.83 level. Opening at 1133.11 level this afternoon, the local bourse continued in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 28.35 crore where more than 4 lakhs unit shares were traded through 1,296 transactions. Sensitive index and the float index went down by 3.6 points and 0.99points respectively. Except Manufacturing & production, all other sectors landed in red. Banking, Hydropower, Insurance and others plunged by double digits. The scrips of Everest Bank has hit circuit during the first trading and last trading hour of the day. The shares of EBL were down by Rs 307 to close at Rs 2772.
