NEPSE DIPS BY FURTHER 7.13 POINTS

Persistent profit booking in most of the listed shares today also attributed to downfall of the Nepse. The stock market today came to tumble by 7.13 points to settle at 849.63 level.
Following more than seven percent surge in the insurance sector last week, the trading floor today witnessed maximum offload of the insurance scrips. Among the 17 traded insurance scrips, nine suffered loss, four remained intact while only four scrips inclined.
In addition to insurance shares, the investors also took the opportunity to liquidate the banking, which in prior week had done fairly well. Out of 29 traded banking scrips, 22 scrips suffered loss today.
The total turnover of banking and insurance today added to more than 60 percent of the total market turnover of Rs 316.43 million. Banking tallied to 40.20 percent while Insurance occupied 24.12 percent.
The shedding off the inflated insurance scrips and banking scrips by investors primarily attributed to bearish trend throughout today’s session.
Insurance with a plunge of 71.25 points was the worst among the subgroups. Similarly, Banking, with decline of 7.74 points, too was among the top losers.
Likewise, Hotels and Hydro were other two sub-indices to reduce by double digits. Hotels dropped by 12.31 points and Hydro decreased by 38.84 points.
Development and Finance too suffered loss of 4.80 points and 0.26 points respectively.
While, Manufacturing surged by 41.88 points and Others increased by 5.87 points.
Altogether there were trade of 134 scrips, among which 40 scrips gained, 14 scrips remained intact and 80 scrips suffered loss.
Civil Bank Limited (CBL), closed at Rs 209, was the top performer today with gain of Rs 19 or 10 percent whereas Shree Investment Finance Co. Ltd (SIFC), closed at Rs 442, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 48 or 9.8 percent.
Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at 1911, had the highest turnover today among the traded scrips. Altogether, 15,774 shares of CHCL were traded through 153 transactions worth Rs 30,165,875.
The Broker with the highest transaction of CHCL was Broker No 35 (Kohinoor Investment and Securities Pvt.Ltd) with 9.68 percent standalone dealing, totaling 3,055 units worth Rs 5,844,131 via 18 transactions, which includes one matching transactions tallying 104 units worth Rs 200,200.
