NEPSE decreases by double digit on the first trading day of the week; Market closes at 1,181.66 points after losing 11.73 points

The local bourse at the stock market registered a fall of 11.73 points as the market closed at 1,181.66 points. The market which had started at 1,193.39 points decreased throughout the day. The total turnover for the day was of Rs 21.12 crore which was achieved through the exchange of 6.61.246 unit shares. The shares of 163 listed companies were exchanged during the trading period through 3,822 transactions.

Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as the shares worth more than Rs 1.04 crore were exchanged during the trading period. It was also ahead in terms of units of shares traded as 43,939 units were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Tinau Development Bank Limited (TNBL) earned the most today as the price increased by 10 points and its LTP stood at Rs 180. However, the shareholders of Arun Valley Hydropower Company Limited (AHPC) lost the most during the day’s trade as the price decreased by 7 points and the LTP stood at Rs 138.

Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 2.56 points and 0.91 points respectively.

Out of the 11 sub-indices, only Finance sector ended in the green zone gaining the 2.99 points. Non-Life Insurance sector lost 110.6 points which was followed by Life Insurance losing 70.28 points.
