NEPSE declines by 0.10 points on the last day of the week; settles at 1,386.98 points

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has depreciated meagerly by 0.10 points or 0.01% today to close at 1,386.98 points. Today, the only local bourse of the country opened at 1,387.08 points and was seen declining until the second hour of the day after which it started increasing and reached 1395.15 points. However, it started falling again and ultimately ended in the red zone. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 42.50 crore where more than 10.86 lakh unit shares were traded through 4,262 transactions. 1 Shares of Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLICP) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as its shares worth Rs 5.50 crore were traded today. Similarly, over 1.66 lakh unit shares of Century Century Bank Limited (CCBL) exchanged their ownership today making it the highest traded shares. Scrips of Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Ltd. (BNT) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 3.98% to Rs 7165. On the other hand shares of NagBeli Laghubitta Bikas Bank Ltd. (NBBL) lost the most today with their value tumbling by 3.83% to Rs 2309. Both the Sensitive and float index went down today by 0.13 points and 0.08 points respectively. Indices of all the sectors except Development bank, Finance, Manufacturing & Production and Others lost points today and landed in the red zone. Insurance sector however lost 34.66 points making it the most unprofitable sector for the day whereas Manufacturing & Production gained 41.54 points making it the most profitable sector for the day. 2 4 3 5 6
