Nepse creates a new high of 1343.93 points with a total turnover of Rs 89.97 crore; Insurance sector up by 315.95 points

On the first trading day of the week, The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 17.40 points or 1.31% to close at a new high of 1343.93 points. Today NEPSE index opened at 1326.48 points and was seen in an upward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 89.97 crore where more than 19.25 lakhs unit shares were traded through 3,828 transactions. Due to the rumor that Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) is going to float FPO, NLIC hit circuit today. Its closing price stands at Rs. 3,850. Sensitive index and the float index went up by 3.81 points and 1.13 points respectively. All the sectors at Nepse landed in green. Insurance sector hiked by 315.95 points.
