NEPSE creates a new high as index closes at 1,291.81 points; Market on bull run again, turnover above Rs. 71.87 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 12.89 points or 1.01% to close at 1,291.81 points. Nepse index opened at 1278.95 points and was seen in an upward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 71.87 crore where more than 16 lakhs unit shares were traded through 2,664 transactions. Sensitive index and the float index went up by 3.15 points and 0.88 points respectively. Banking sector saw an increment of 20 points today. It settled at 1,197.44 points. Revised dividend from Standard chartered propelled market at the last hour. Banking, Development Banks, Insurance and others landed in green whereas Hotels, Hydropower and Finance landed in red.
