NEPSE continuing its up and down trend; climbs 3.10 points with a minuscule turnover of Rs 29.3 crore

After the 17 point dive yesterday, NEPSE today has climbed just 3.10 points or 0.24%. The market had opened at 1,270.25 and lost 13 points with the first hour of trading. The market showed slight recovery in the later part of the day, finally landing in green zone. The market experienced a total turnover of Rs. 29.3 crore only. 9.4 lakhs shares were traded through 3,684 transactions.

Nabil Bank Limited Promoter Share (NABILP) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 3.5 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, Om Development Bank (ODBL) stood at top in case of number of shares traded as 1.6 lakh unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, Nepal Hydro Developers (NHDL) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 6.32% on its price and closed at Rs. 202. Similary, Himalayan Distillary Limited (HDL) was the top loser of the day losing 5.3% on its price.

The sub-indices for Banking, Hydropower, Insurance, Manufacturing and processing and Microfinance sectors inclined and landed in green zone. Similarly, the sub-indices for Hotels, Development Bank, Finance and others sectors landed in red. The hotels sectors lost the most today tumbling by 17.14 points. Similarly, Insurance sector gained the most, climbing the index by 42.1 points.
