NEPSE continues to lose while Nadep Laghubitta continues to gain; Turnover stands at Rs.42.86 Crore

The market reached low of 1221.5 points today but closed at 1227.37 points losing 3.23 points or 0.26%. It reached 1231.75 points at its highest. The turnover was of Rs.42.86 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,582,558 units of shares through 5,440 transactions trading scrips of 165 companies in the process.

NMB Bank (NMB) stood ahead in terms of turnover with turnover of Rs.3.19 Crore followed by Machhapuchhre Bank (MBL) with turnover of Rs.2.28 Crore. However MBL topped shares traded list with trade of 103,542 units of shares followed by NMB with trade of 91,385 units of shares.

Nadep Laghubitta (NADEP) continues to gain more than 9% for three consecutive trading days. Today it gained 10% or 112 points making it the top gainer. The LTP of the microfinance company stands at Rs.1232 per share. The top loser today was Multipurpose Finance Company (MPFL) which hit the negative circuit after losing 9.34% or 17 points with its LTP at Rs.165 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.82 points and closed at 260.24 points while Float Index lost 0.26 points and closed at 89.17 points.

Trading sector gained 0.73% or 1.69 points making it the top gaining sub-index today. Other gaining sub-indices included Finance and Life Insurance sector while all the other sub-indices ended in the red zone. Hotels were the top losers today losing 1.43% or 26.69 points. The Banking sector posted a turnover of Rs.24.70 Crore.
