NEPSE continues to lose double digits while turnover sees improvement; Vijaya Laghubitta gains the most today

The market today saw a heavy fall after losing 1.54% or 17.73 points to close at 1130.63 points. The turnover today was of Rs.45.47 Crore achieved from trade of 1,442,138 units of shares traded through 5,394 transactions trading scrips of 156 listed companies in the process.

Trading Sector was the only gaining sub-index after it gained 1.25% or 2.96 points. Rest of the sub-indices lost points to end in the red zone with Non-Life Insurance Sector losing the most at 2.72% or 139.51 points.

Sensitive Index lost 3.89 points and closed at 240.26 points while Float Index lost 1.33 points and closed at 82 points.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) continues to post the highest turnover and most number of shares traded after 244,841 units of shares were traded to post a turnover of Rs.7.19 Crore. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.292 per share. NBL was followed by NMB Bank (NMB) on both the lists with turnover of Rs.3.46 Crore.

After declaration of dividends, Vijaya Laghubitta (VLBS) gained 8.49% or 51 points to close at Rs.652 per share, to be today’s top gainer. Losing 7.8% or 37 points, Lumbini General Insurance (LGIL) was today’s top loser and closed at Rs.433 per share.
