NEPSE Continues Downtrend; Index Ends at 2,730.17 Points

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a two digit loss today, declining by 10.07 points (0.36%) to settle at 2,730.17.

The benchmark index opened at 2743.26 and reached an intraday high of 2,743.25, while the day’s low stood at 2,717.45. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.29 Arba, with 7,958,752 shares traded across 337 companies through 46,402 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.56 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.55 Kharba.

 

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 37.68 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 626.00.


Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) Led the gainer's list with 11.25%. The Stock closed at Rs. 534.00.


Meanwhile, Asian Hydropower Limited (AHL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 9.89%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 510.00.


Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest fall by 2 %, while Non Life Insurance recorded highest gain, gaining by 0.32%.
