The NEPSE Index closed at 2,782.16, down 167.98 points (5.69%). The index closed at 2,950.16 last week, up 2.54% from the previous week.

This week, the index reached a high of 2,958.79 and a low of 2,740.22, resulting in a volatility of 218.57 points. The index had seen volatility of 78.82 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 74.73 points on Wednesday, with a turnover of Rs 12.18 Arba; however, the total turnover for the week stood at Rs 60.04 Arba.

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 46.81. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 55.09.

Conversely, the MACD is above zero, and the Signal line is in the Positive zone, i.e., with the MACD reading at 31.19.

The Nepse Index is below both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index below the moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment.

The 2,650 level may serve as the nearest support, while the 2,960 zone will act as a major resistance zone.
