Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

The NEPSE Index closed at 1,966.23 after losing 33.73 points (1.64%). The index closed at 1,998.96 last week gaining 1.68% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 1,998.52 and as low as 1,952.96 hence witnessing volatility of 45.56 points. The index had seen volatility of 60.6 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 24.59 points on Sunday with a turnover of Rs 3.79 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 14.49 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 40.56. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 45.59.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the negative zone i.e., below zero with the MACD reading at -16.21.

Nepse Index is below the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and above the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index below the moving average indicates the bearish sentiment.

1,940 -1,960 zone may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,120 zone will act as resistance.
