This week, the market traded for four trading days, as Tuesday was a public holiday to mark Gen Z Martyr’s Day.

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,559.49, down 16.72 points (0.66%). The index closed at 2,542.77 last week, down 0.57% from the previous week.

This week, the index reached a high of 2,578.43 and a low of 2,524.55, resulting in a volatility of  53.88 points. The index had seen volatility of 55.47 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday gain was 27.94 points on Friday, with a turnover of Rs 4.36 Arba; however, the total turnover for the week stood at Rs 16.39 Arba.

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 41.55. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 38.77.

Conversely, the MACD is below zero, and the Signal line is in the Negative zone, i.e., with the MACD reading at -30.11.

The Nepse Index is below the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and above the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index above the short moving average indicates earlier bullish sentiment.

The 2,480 level may serve as the nearest support, while the 2,670 zone will act as a major resistance zone.
