NEPSE closes for the week at 1435.70 points after losing minimal points today; three companies hit the circuit

The market closed for the week after losing minimal points today. The benchmark index lost 0.38% or 5.50 points and closed at 1435.70 points. The index initially fell as low as 1408 points today. The turnover amount stood at Rs.2.45 Arba which was achieved through trade of 5,940,533 units of shares traded through 22,531 transactions trading scrips of 179 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) dominated the trade with massive turnover of Rs.37.87 Crore. A total of 304,048 units of shares of the life insurance stock were traded. The price of the stock closed at Rs.1251 per share after gaining 1 point today.

Manjushree Finance Limited (MFIL) hit the positive circuit as it gained 10% or 29 points and closed at Rs.319 per share. Two hydropower companies hit the negative circuit today. Nepal Hydro Developers Limited (NHDL) lost 9.69% or 16 points, closing at Rs.149 per share followed by Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) with loss of 9.32% or 11 points, at Rs.107 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 1.15 points and closed at 307.72 points while Float Index lost 0.36 points and closed at 101.95 points.
