NEPSE closes for the week at 1377.18 points after losing 45.91 points today; three companies hit the negative circuit

On the closing day of the week, the market sheds points to close below 1400 points. The benchmark index lost 3.23% or 45.91 points and closed at 1377.18 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.2.20 Arba which was achieved through trade of 5,686,681 units of shares traded through 23,205 transactions trading scrips of 182 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) continues to post the highest turnover which stood at Rs.19.82 Crore today. The LTP of the life insurance stock stood at Rs.1187 per share. Api Power Company Limited (API) stood ahead in terms of volume after trade of 220,997 units of share with LTP at Rs.127 per share.

Only nine scrips gained points today with Shree Investment and Finance Limited (SIFC) gaining the most at 2.48% or 4 points. The LTP stood at Rs.165 per share. Three companies hit the negative circuit today. Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) lost the most at 10% or 110 points followed by Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) and Himal Dolkha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC).

Sensitive Index lost 9.19 points and closed at 295.50 points while Float Index lost 3.32 points and closed at 97.78 points.

All the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points today. Hotels, Non-Life Insurance and Microfinance were among top losers.
