NEPSE closes at 20-month high with gain of 33.43 point and whopping Rs 2.09 turnover; recorded 14th highest turnover volume till date

NEPSE gain massive 33.43 points on the first trading day of the week continuing its bullish run which started since last 2 weeks. The turnover amount stood at Rs 2.09 Arba. The benchmark NEPSE index closes at last 20 months high point today.

The below table show the date when turnover in the Nepal Stock Exchange exceeds Rs 2 arba. This is the 14th time in the history of Nepal Stock Exchange when turnover exceeds Rs 2 arba.

On the first trading day of the week, the market resumes its aggressive upward movement as it gains 33.43 points or 2.55%. The turnover amount stood at Rs 2.09 Arba achieved through trade of 6,131,418 units of shares traded through 21,423 transactions trading scrips of 178 listed companies in the process.

SS NEPSE Confidence meter is indicating a massive optimism among investors and market confidence is very high.

Market Summary:

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) posted the highest turnover of Rs 12.15 Crore with LTP at Rs 1,300 per share. Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 265,414 units of shares. The LTP of the scrip stood at Rs.524 per share.

28 companies rises by more than 9% today while Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF), Prime Life Insurance (PLIC), Janaki Finance (JFL), Siddhartha Insurance (SIL) and Himalaya General Insurance (HGI) gained 10% in value. Mahila Sahayatra Microfinance (MSMBS) was today’s top loser as it lost 2.68% or 21 points and closed at Rs.760 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 5.52 points and closed at 288.39 points while float Index gained 2.36 points and closed at 95.22 points.

Only Trading sub-index lost 0.92% while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone today. Non Life Insurance Sector is the top gainer followed by Life Insurance Sector.
