NEPSE closes at 1135.16 points after another day of loss; four commercial banks post turnover above Rs.1 Crore

The market today lost 0.42% or 4.80 points. The benchmark index fell to 1135.16 points. Today’s turnover stood at Rs.27.54 Crore achieved through trade of 908,363 units of shares traded through 4,127 transactions trading scrips of 154 listed companies in the process.

Commercial Banks dominated the turnover with NMB Bank (NMB) posting the highest turnover worth Rs.3.12 Crore. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.378 per share. Machhapuchhre Bank Limited (MBL) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 94,439 units of shares. MBL stocks closed at Rs.225 per share.

Salt Trading Corporation (STC) tops the gainer list after gaining 7.92% or 63 points to stand at Rs.858 per share. Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.51% or 15 points and closed at Rs.257 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 1.39 points and closed at 250.18 points while Float Index lost 0.31 points and closed at 84.25 points.

Trading, Finance and Others were among gaining sub-indices today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
