NEPSE closes after marginal decrease of 0.21 points; Total turnover still below Rs 20 crore

NEPSE loses marginal 0.21 points or 0.02% ending up in the red zone in the second trading day of the week. The market had opened at 1189.88 today, experienced downward movement from the beginning and closed at 1189.67 points.

The total turnover for today stands at Rs 19.17 crore with a total of 7.96 lakh shares traded. Similarly 2,874 transactions were carried out throughout the day.

Progressive Finance Limited Promoter Share (PROFLP) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 2.43 crore worth of shares was exchanged. Similarly, PROFLP was also ahead in terms of shares traded as 2,41,000 unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) earned the most today as the price of the share increased by 93 points and the LTP stood at Rs 1,027. However, the shareholders of Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL) lost 26 points to record its LTP at Rs 275.

The sub-indices for Banking, Trading, Hydropower, Finance and Microfinance gained and closed in green. Whereas Hotels, Development Bank, Non-Life Insurance, Manufacturing and Production, Others and Life Insurance ended in red. The Microfinance sector gained the most, climbing up by 6.36 points. Similarly, the Life Insurance sector lost the most losing 16.73 points.
