NEPSE climbs 8.65 points; settles at 1,388.94 points with minimal turnover of Rs 38.64 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has appreciated today by 8.65 points or 0.63% to close at 1,388.94 points. Today, the only local bourse of the country opened at 1,380.29 points and was seen fluctuating throughout the first half of the day and then during the second half the index picked up and ultimately ended in the green zone. 1 The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 38.64 crore where more than 9.31 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,422 transactions. Shares of Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. Promoter Share (NLICP) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as Rs 5.5 crore worth of its shares were traded today. Similarly, over 2.32 lakh unit shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) exchanged their ownership today making it the highest traded shares. Scrips of RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (RSDC) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 10% to Rs 924 hitting positive circuit. On the other hand shares of Kanchan Development Bank Ltd. (KADBL) lost the most today with their value tumbling by 5.21% to Rs 218. Both the Sensitive and float index went up today by 1.51 points and 0.66 points respectively. Apart from the indices of 3 trading groups i.e. Finance, Manufacturing and production and Others, all other groups gained points today and landed in green. Manufacturing and production sector that lost 5.35 points stood as the top loser. Insurance sector however gained 121.52 points making it the most profitable sector for the day. 2 3 4 5 6
