NEPSE begins the week with minimal gain; three companies hit the circuit, two positive and one negative

On the first trading day of the week, the market gained 0.10% or 1.17 points. The benchmark index closed at 1150.81 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.37.44 Crore achieved through trade of 1,488,304 units of shares traded through 6,087 transactions trading scrips of 167 listed companies in the process.

Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) dominated the trade today with turnover of Rs.4.76 Crore achieved through trade of 118,717 units of shares. The prices of the stocks increased to Rs.416 per share.

Two companies hit the positive circuit today. SHIVM gained 37 points and closed at Rs.416 per share while Panchthar Power Company (PPCL) gained 10 points and closed at Rs.114 per share. Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) hit the negative circuit as it lost 9.81% or 16 points and closed at Rs.147 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.25 points and closed at 251.59 points while Float Index gained 0.04 points and closed at 85.67 points.
