NEPSE back on track with 4.15 points’ gain; Upper Tamakoshi reverses after continuous fall of 3 days

NEPSE recorded a gain of 4.15 points for the day’s trading period as the market index closed at 1,172.98 points. The market continuously increased at a slow pace and registered higher rate of increment at the end of the day. The market had started at 1,168.83 points which closed by gaining 0.35%.

During the day, 10,02,107 unit shares were traded resulting in a total turnover of Rs 24.77 crore. Shares of 163 listed companies were exchanged through 5,523 transactions.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) was again the top stock by turnover as well as units traded. 1,38,867 units of UPPER worth Rs 3.72 crore were traded during the day while its LTP stood at Rs 278.

Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) was the top gainer for the day reaching the positive circuit as its LTP stood at Rs 10. However, Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI) was the top loser for the day losing 12 points to close at Rs 231.

Both sensitive index and float index increased by 0.069 points and 0.41 points respectively.

Out of the 11 sub-indices, only Manufacturing & Trading and Life Insurance sector ended in the losing zone. Life insurance sector lost 27.31 points while Manufacturing and Production lost 31.60 points during the day. On the other hand, Non-Life Insurance sector gained 58.60 points which were followed by Hydropower sector gaining 31.48 points.
