NEPSE Able To Close Above 2000 Levels; Gains Significant 39.48 Points Today While Market Cap Surged to Rs. 30 Kharba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 2,007.06 points, as the index gained an impressive 39.48 points or 2.00% compared to the previous day's closing. The index lost 19.42 points yesterday.
The session kicked off with the index opening at 1,967.26 and made an intraday low at 1,967.25 points. However, the market reached an intraday high of 2,007.48 before settling at 2,007.06.
During today's trading, a total of 275 scrips were exchanged through 36,045 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares traded amounting to 5,144,724 representing a turnover of Rs. 1.49 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 30.04 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.59 Kharba.
NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) recorded the highest turnover of Rs. 7.93 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 819.
Similarly, Barun Hydropower Co. Ltd. (BARUN) gained the highest 10%, followed by Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) with 9.99%.
Meanwhile, Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) lost the highest 8% today.
In terms of sector indices, all indices closed green with Hydropower Index gaining the most among the indices with a positive gain of 3.62 percent.
