Nepal's Gold Market Shatters Records, Surges to Unprecedented Highs

Nepal's gold market has witnessed an unprecedented surge, reaching a new all-time high on April 12, 2024.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders' Association, there has been a Rs. 2,400 increase, driving the price of fine gold to an exceptional rate of Rs. 1,39,000 per tola, up from its previous rate of Rs. 1,36,600.

Similarly, Tejabi gold, another highly sought-after variant, has also experienced a rise, now valued at Rs. 1,38,350 per tola, marking a consecutive increase of Rs. 2,400 from its previous rate of Rs. 1,35,950.

On April 10th, 2024, fine gold had surged to an all-time high of Rs. 1,36,800 per tola.

Following this trend, the price of silver has also surged and set new records today. Presently priced at Rs. 1,750 per tola, silver witnessed a Rs. 50 increase from the previous day's rate of Rs. 1,700 per tola.

While the domestic market is witnessing an upward trend in prices, the international market also plays a significant role. According to the latest update, the current gold rate stands at $2,387.40 per ounce. Internationally, silver remains constant, with prices reaching $28.86 per ounce.
