Nepal's Gold Market Hits All-Time Highs in Spectacular Surge

The Nepalese gold market experienced an unprecedented surge, hitting an all-time high on December 28, 2023. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association reported a remarkable single-day jump of Rs. 1,300, driving fine gold to an extraordinary rate of Rs. 1,22,000 per tola.
Back on December 4, 2023, fine gold had reached a historic peak of Rs. 1,21,600 per tola, setting a record at that point. Tejabi gold, another highly sought-after type, also saw a notable increase, currently valued at Rs. 1,21,400 per tola, up from its previous rate of Rs. 1,20,100.
Following a similar pattern, the price of silver has also risen today. With a gain of 15 rupees, the current silver price stands at 1,490 rupees per tola. Comparatively, Wednesday recorded a silver price of Rs. 1,475 per tola.
While the domestic market experiences a hike in prices, the international market also plays a significant role. As of the latest update, the current rate of gold stands at $2,086.13 per ounce. Silver is also experiencing positive momentum internationally, with prices reaching $24.44 per ounce.
