Nepal’s economic growth to reach 7.90% in the current fiscal year; growth rate to reach 10% in next three years

National Planning Commission has projected that the economic growth rate of the country will reach 10% in the next 3 years.

In the meeting of finance committee of the Federal Parliament, Member Secretary of the commission, Mr Laxman Aryal said that the growth rate will reach 7.90% in the current fiscal year which will rise to 8% in the upcoming fiscal year.

Similarly, the growth rate has been projected to reach 9.10% in the FY 2076/77 and to 9.50% in the FY 2077/78.  He also said that the agriculture sector will be expanded by 6.60% and the non-agriculture sector will be expanded by 10.70%.

For the purpose of meeting the target of sustainable economic growth, a collective investment of Rs 18 kharba per annum is required.
