The license and inspection regulations 2077 provided to money exchange companies on foreign tour have been modified by Nepal Rastra Bank. On Wednesday, Rastra Bank updated the law and released a circular to give Nepalis traveling overseas the convenience of receiving 200 Dollars from the airport.

The bank offers a facility amounting to up to $1500. With this arrangement, Nepali citizens traveling abroad will now have access to up to $200 in cash at Tribhuvan International Airport. For the time being, only authorized money changers will offer this service at Tribhuvan Airport.

The limit of 200 dollars will likewise be computed within the 1500 dollars range. However, a person will not be granted this facility if they already have the identical 1500 dollars facility from the bank.

For example, if a person has previously received this facility of up to $1,300 from the bank, then he/she can avail the facility of up to $200 from the airport.

The bond for the license has also been outlined in clause 6 of the rule. The law mandates the Moneychanger Company hold one lakh rupees for transactions involving the purchasing and selling of Indian rupees, five lakh rupees for transactions involving the purchase of foreign currency, and six lakh rupees for transactions involving both Indian and US dollars. As per the circular issue, an additional two lakhs need to be added on Rs 6 lakh to get such facility by the money exchange.
