According to NT spokesperson Kamal Lamichhane, such services were expanded to facilitate the relief and rescue operations in the affected areas. People in the flood hit areas have been urged to use the services on the need basis. The disasters caused the damage to various telecom physical infrastructures, so the technical teams are at work to regularize telecommunication services as soon as possible in the areas, it is said.
The company said that most of the damaged structures in the flood-affected areas have been reinstated and efforts are underway to operate the remaining structures as early as possible.
