Chudamani Chapagain, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), has resigned from his post after serving for just 15 months.

Chapagain submitted his resignation to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on Monday. Speaking on his decision, Chapagain stated that he stepped down from the country's sole stock exchange leadership due to personal reasons.

He was appointed to the top executive role at NEPSE in the third week of Chaitra, 2081 B.S. (April 2025). His abrupt departure cuts short his tenure significantly earlier than expected.
