Nepal SBI Bank contributes book shelves to Ratna Library

Nepal SBI Bank Limited has contributed four set of book shelves to Ratna Library of Baneswor Kathmandu. The book shelves distribution was done as a part of Social Corporate Responsibility. Amidst the program Hasana Sharma, Chairman of Nepal SBI Bank handed over the keys of the book shelves and its keys to Sashi Bikram Rana, Chairman of Ratna Library.

"It’s a matter of pride and honor for bank to help the library holding 53 years of history" said Hasana Sharma, Chairman of Nepal SBI Bank. Books are one of the main sources of knowledge and its conservation and promotion is must, she added. Chairman Sharma became all time member of the library on the very occasion. Niranjan Kumar Tibrewala, BoD member of the bank highlighted on the importance of book in the present digital era and suggested to transform the library into modern and digitalized one.

Anukul Bhattnagar, Managing Director of the bank addressing the program opined that it’s a great task in itself to contribute bookshelves to the library.

 ‘The contribution provided by Nepal SBI Bank has encouraged us to be more active’, said Sashi Rana of Ratna Library.

 Sanjay Kumar Sureka, Keshav Raj Acharya-members of the bank, Company Secretary Ramesh Ghimire, Senior Manager duo Sishil Kumar Sharma and Sudip Khanal of Nepal SBI Bank were present in the program. Likewise, Basanta Prasad Parajuli, Madhav Raj Lamichhane, Shankar Prasad Paudel, Shakuntala Pokhrel, delegates of the library and Padhma Singh Karki, ex chairman of the library showed their presence in the program.
