Nepal Republic Media Turns Profitable in Q3 with Rs. 46.28 Lakhs Net Profit; EPS at Rs. 0.64 and Revenue Grows by 5.83%

Nepal Republic Media Limited (NRM) has achieved a remarkable turnaround in its financial performance for the third quarter of fiscal year 2081/82, posting a net profit of Rs. 46.28 lakhs, a sharp recovery from a loss of Rs. 52.26 lakhs in the same period last year.
This return to profitability has resulted in the company reporting a positive Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs. 0.64, a significant improvement from the negative Rs. 0.72 recorded in Q3 of 2080/81.
The company's revenue increased by 5.83%, reaching Rs. 13.48 crores, compared to Rs. 12.74 crores in the previous fiscal year's corresponding quarter. At the same time, administrative expenses fell by 11.17% to Rs. 3.77 crores, and finance expenses declined by 19.94% to Rs. 2.14 crores — both contributing to the improved bottom line.
Notably, the company has also brought down its long-term borrowings by 61.07%, from Rs. 22.08 crores to Rs. 8.59 crores, strengthening its balance sheet and reducing financial liabilities. An investment of Rs. 3.28 crores was made during this quarter.
While Property, Plant & Equipment decreased by 7.17% to Rs. 53.03 crores, the company’s Other Component of Equity remained stable at around Rs. 39.73 crores. The net worth per share slightly increased to Rs. 89.07, up from Rs. 87.81.
At the end of the quarter, the company's market price stood at Rs. 471.56 per share, with a notably high P/E ratio of 739.22 times.
