Nepal Rastra Bank receives automated banking monitoring system SIS from the UK government; to make its regulatory work more efficient

Nepal Rastra Bank has received a Supervisory Information System (SIS) which was provided under the assistance of the UK government’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.

The SIS was handed over to the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Mr. Maha Prasad Adhikari by the Director of FCDO under the UK government’s Financial Sector Stability Program (FSSP).

With the implementation of the SIS mechanism, both the Rastra Bank and FCDO expect that the banking supervision job of NRB will be automated and more efficient, as per the media statement.
