Nepal Life Insurance Company increases life insurance fund by 31.79%; Net profit at Rs 52.32 crores

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has earned net profit of Rs 52.32 crore till the fourth quarter of FY 2075/76. The net profit figure is without the profit generated from actuarial valuation of assets and liabilities. In the previous year of the same quarter, the audited financial statement showed a net profit of Rs 1.11 arba.

As per the unaudited report for the fourth quarter published today, the net earnings from premium rose to Rs 22.82 arba till Q4 from Rs 15.98 arba in the corresponding quarter of last FY 2074/75.

The company has made a claim payment (net) of Rs 7.99 arba till Q4; same figure stood at Rs 5.42 arba in corresponding quarter.

NLIC has a paid-up capital of Rs 5.49 arba with a reserve of Rs 2.43 arba. Likewise, the company’s life insurance fund has increased to Rs 65.36 arba from Rs 49.59 arba in the corresponding quarter.

Its annualized EPS stands at Rs 9.52, net worth per share at Rs 152.28 and quarter end P/E ratio at 91.38 times.
