Nepal Electronic Payment Systems receives nod from apex bank to begin functioning as electronic payment system operator

Nepal Electronic Payment systems has received go-ahead signal from Nepal rastra Bank to begin working as Payment System Operator thereby functioning as Electronic card network and payment switch between the financial institutions.

NEPS is a JV company of different banks and financial institutions that has been providing services as a common platform to provide electronic payment system between the financial institutions and is associated with 17 different BFIs and their card and payment operation in Nepal, as per the media statement.
