The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has introduced a five-year installment facility for the settlement of electricity tariff dues related to dedicated and trunk line services. This initiative comes in response to the growing concerns over the outstanding dues from 61 industries, reaching a total of Rs 22.24 billion. As a consequence, the power supply to 24 industries has been disconnected.

The NEA, in a public notice issued today, has invited relevant entities to submit applications for the installment facility at their respective NEA distribution centers within the next 30 days. This decision follows a resolution made during the NEA Board of Directors' meeting on January 1, allowing industries a one-time installment option to clear their dues associated with dedicated and trunk line services.

The move aims to alleviate the financial burden on industries and facilitate the settlement of outstanding payments. Interested parties are encouraged to take advantage of this installment facility to ensure a smoother resolution of their electricity tariff dues.
