Nepal-Dubai Business Forum Strengthens Economic Ties as Prime Minister Dahal Addresses Investors

The Nepal-Dubai Business Forum, a collaborative effort by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the Embassy of Nepal in the UAE, and Dubai Chambers, successfully concluded in Dubai on Thursday evening. The event, graced by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' aimed to foster economic cooperation and attract investments in Nepal.

Prime Minister Dahal addressed the attendees, highlighting major policies and reform measures undertaken by the Nepali government while encouraging UAE investors to explore opportunities in Nepal. The forum provided a platform for the exchange of ideas and insights into the conducive business environment being created in Nepal.

Abdullah Ahmed Mohammed Al Saleh, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Economy in the UAE, emphasized the need for increased cooperation between Nepal and the UAE to strengthen economic relations. He underscored the potential for mutual benefits through collaborative efforts in trade and investment.

Mohammad Ali bin Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, expressed optimism about the ample scope for enhanced cooperation between FNCCI and Dubai Chambers. Recognizing the opportunities for economic growth and partnership, he highlighted the importance of building strong ties between the business communities of both nations.

FNCCI President Chandra Dhakal emphasized the necessity of reinforcing economic and trade relations between Nepal and the UAE. He outlined key sectors with significant investment potential, urging UAE investors to explore opportunities in Nepal's thriving market.

The program drew the participation of prominent business leaders and dignitaries from the UAE and Nepal, fostering meaningful discussions and potential collaborations. The presence of such influential figures further underscored the significance of strengthening economic ties between the two nations.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Dahal visited the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, adding a cultural dimension to his visit. His presence in the UAE is part of an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, to attend COP28 at Expo City Dubai. This diplomatic engagement serves as an opportunity for Nepal to actively contribute to global discussions on climate change and sustainable development.

As the Nepal-Dubai Business Forum concluded on a positive note, it marked a significant step forward in fostering economic collaboration and mutual growth between Nepal and the UAE.
